Backflow tester rules by state
Public water systems must keep drinking water from flowing backward into the main. States with Safe Drinking Water Act primacy write the cross-connection rule. Some states certify testers themselves. Others accept a named certification body, and some leave the tester list to the local water utility. Open a state for the agency we verified and the official page. Dollar fees are shown only when that page published them.
